Even if it is just nothing more than a laptop and convenient Internet connection, and some clean, tidy space in your desk, with your Pc or Mac, both of which are equally suitable for your marketing efforts. Clearly, there are a lot of marketing software created for the PC, but if you have a Mac, just be aware that you can run Windows programs on it, by using a Windows emulator, or simply installing Windows on your Mac

Unless you intend to do a lot of extreme graphics work or video editing, you do not need to spend, to start with, a lot of money on a high-end model computer. So many of the internet marketer's tasks can be achieved with systems that are several years old, that have not a lot of memory capacity or great RAM specs.

You will benefit greatly from a high speed online connection, but if you cannot get broadband, you can still get your internet marketing done. Clearly not as speedy as with high specification systems, but you can, all the same, accomplish most tasks on a dialup connection.

With dialup connection, however, a few tasks will be out of its reach, like for instance, video marketing. Imagine you waiting 12 hours to upload a video that lasts 10 minutes to show. Aside from that, as a starter, and until you start making more money, dialup could be sufficient before you are able to upgrade to greater computer specifications.

And then, you need a comfortable place to work, and a clear desk in front of an ergonomic chair. You will be more productive when you have a clean office with few or no distractions. Remember to have your work surface as clear of clutter as possible, and keep folders ready to use for projects, as well as a place to store and file your receipts and other documents you print out during your working day.

Your office should also, preferably, be positioned in a quiet place so you work better, concentrate more. It might be difficult to have that if you live in a small family apartment, but even so, there are things you can think of doing, to reduce the noise and distractions, when you are motivated enough to do your online marketing.

Do what many marketers are doing to be less distracted, regarding, for example, the need for food and drink. Many of them have in their offices a small refrigerator and microwave, so that they are much more focused, without the need to leave their office to go downstairs or outside the house to get food and drink.

There are also the important things that most offices need, like a printer and a fax machine. Consider that many individuals and companies that you are going to deal with, will require you to fax them some copies of documents or you will want to print copies of important reports, receipts etc.

And finally, and most importantly, use a good planning and scheduling program, to keep your activities well organized and documented, so that you can achieve the success you deserve, and accomplish your goals a lot easier.
